We swiped right! We started talking in April 2018 and had our first day on April 13.
Our first date was at Liberty Tavern. We met up and just talked for a couple of hours. Although our favorite was our second date when we watched Back to the Future on the big screen.
Chris proposed on September 1, 2019 at Liberty Tavern- where we had our first date. Chris had been fake proposing for months, so I literally had no idea it was coming. Even when he invited one of my friends down for the weekend!
Honestly, we had a difficult time choosing a venue that was just right for us. We’re pretty down to earth. We looked at several places, even booked one and canceled, until we found 128 South. They have made this process so easy and Jordan has been great to work with!
Our ceremony is going to be pretty short, sweet, and to the point. We are going to have a unity ceremony during it. My dad is making us a box that we will fill during the ceremony with things for us to open on our 1st anniversary.
We wanted to keep things clean and simple. A lot of things we chose to use, we wanted to make sure they were something we would actually use down the road rather than be packed up somewhere.
Honestly, we just like them. Chris’s favorite color is green (found in the greenery in our florals) and my favorite color is blue.
I, Emily, am looking forward to both the first look and the reception. Chris is looking forward to the wedding gifts (ha!)
Besides Covid, deciding on what we wanted our wedding to look like and who was going to make the final guest list.
