All this hot weather has us thinking of the cool breezes of fall as we get ready to photograph Liz and Josh’s wedding in just a few months. Liz wanted portraits that were fun yet romantic and the country club setting with falling leaves was the perfect backdrop. The weather was beautiful and we ended up shooting past dark for few moonlit portraits.
As with many of our couples this year, Liz and Josh have had to make some drastic changes to their wedding plans due to COVID-19. Even though plans are changing, that doesn’t mean that it has to change the FEEL of the day. For the past several years we’ve seen the trend pulling away from larger 200 person weddings in favor of smaller more intimate affairs, maybe not 25 people, but smaller and more elaborate none-the-less. If you have to cut back on your guest list and change your plans, don’t let that ruin the feel of the day. Take the extra budget from the catering and bar bill and use it to make your event truly stand out. Celebrate the enormity of the day, even if it has a smaller footprint.
We can’t wait to see what Liz and Josh have planned after moving the wedding venue. The Pinehurst Resort and Spa is beautiful and we’re looking forward to create equally amazing images of their wedding!
For now, enjoy a few of our favorite images from the engagement session.
