Are you planning a micro-wedding due to COVID? Check out Melissa and Matt’s intimate Raleigh wedding with only 23 guests!
Melissa and Matt’s micro-wedding started as a fairy-tale story. Melissa had been online dating for a while with no success. She had finally given up, and accepted being single forever. She said that God would have to send her a Prince Charming knocking on her door for her to try again. Little did she know that was exactly what was going to happen. She had recently purchased a home and it needed a few repairs. A few days later Matt knocked on her door to do the repairs. They talked the whole time he was repairing and they got each others contact information and ended up going on a date at Daniel’s Italian Restaurant the next week, and the rest was history!
A few day after Christmas of 2018 he took her back to the same restaurant they had their first date. He parked in the same spot he did the first time, and got out of the car all shaky. He walked around to her side of the car and told her how much he loved her and popped the question! You guessed it… she said YES!
Their ceremony was held at 1705 East in Raleigh, NC. They picked this location because it was a great location, and catering was included! Although they were planning on having a larger wedding with full reception, COVID had other plans so they had to plan a smaller wedding than they originally wanted. They decided to move forward with a small wedding on the steps of 1705 East with dinner to follow at The Pit in downtown Raleigh. This gave us the opportunity to create amazing portraits downtown before dinner started.
