We have new boudoir studio sets!
I’m excited to share these images of Miss S. Miss S volunteered to “model” for me way back in 2016, when we set up our first round of boudoir studio sets. If you’ve been following us for a while, you might remember the black sofa with the black tile wall, or our beige headboard against the striped wall. Yep, we debuted those sets back in January 2016 for our very first Exclusive Boudoir Event. After that first shoot with us, Miss S had this to say: “To realize that you ARE that beautiful woman… It’s empowering. I felt beautiful for the first time.”
While those sets have long been replaced, I’m always trying to come up with my next boudoir studio set. Most recently, we’ve added The Living Room, and I also wanted to try my hand at a more classic-portrait-style boudoir with a fine art backdrop.
To raise the stakes, these two new sets were finished only a week before I was scheduled to teach a live boudoir posing and lighting course for Imaging USA via Zoom. Since the class would be broadcast live to photographers all over the world, there was no room for error! I knew I needed a practice shoot before the convention. I reached out to Miss S to see if she’d be willing to be my test model on these two new sets, and she said yes!

“The Living Room” Boudoir Studio Set
The Living Room is our newest boudoir studio set. Custom-built white moulding with a French baroque inspired fireplace. All white on white, clean lines, with a jolt of color in the form of a rich sapphire blue velvet scalloped chair. The blue is a direct contrast to the orange undertones in skin, so it looks great against all skin tones! However, Miss S’s amethyst purple hair added its own jewel tone flair.
The Classic Studio Set
What’s old is new in this classic grey-toned backdrop. The neutral colors work with any outfit, and also make for great continuity in a client portrait album when combined with the other sets.
Other Favorites
Miss S was doing me a huge favor by letting me experiment, but that doesn’t mean we couldn’t use some of our tried-and-true boudoir studio sets. Here’s some other favorites from her shoot.
What does Miss S have to say about her second shoot? “You make me feel beautiful! You’re the only person who will do my boudoir photos – forever and ever! It’s magical!”
